Urban Lunch Talk #38 – Engaging Citizens in Climate Action
In the framework of our project CREST – Climate Resilient Coastal Urban Infrastructures Through Digital Twinning, ACCENT SUD partnered with DUT – Driving Urban Transition for the 38th episode of the Urban Lunch Talk, a brilliant webinar series to discuss and synthesise cross-cutting research and innovation, with diverse stakeholders across Europe and beyond.
The webinar is free, upon registration, in English and the duration is 1 hour sharp.
In this episode the topic will be dedicated to citizen support and engagement in impactful climate actions. In urban contexts, this applies for example for municipal offers, living labs, as well as research and innovation projects. How can we design, communicate about and implement climate measures and projects so that they consider local needs, meet acceptance and engage citizens? How can projects deal with resistance and address it? And what is needed to help a project leave a lasting and positive impact? Get the answers from our panel of experts!
Among the speakers, Bogna Gawronska Nowak (Associate Professor, Institute of Urban and Regional Development, Warsaw, and Cracow University of Economics), that will also present Citizen Engagement Methodology in CREST.
